Lloret de Mar is the place to be in the summer if you go on vacation, the first vacation without your parents. Youngsters mostly from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom come over here to go party in this beach town. Located in the northeast of Spain in the autonomous region of Catalonia, precisely in the province of Girona. Lloret de Mar is one of the many tourist destination on the Costa Brava literally translated as "wild coast". Its started at the French borders and the coastal region ends at the populair beach town of Blanes, other places are Tossa da Mar, Platja d'Aro, Palamos, L'Estartit and Roses. Back to Lloret de Mar normally in this town has an population of around 30 thousand, but in the summer months its boost up to around 160 thousand. Originally an fishers town its now place to party, don't get an sunburn and some summer love. Special for the Dutch visitors there are a lot of Dutch food tents, cafes and discos.
